Oh crap, it's not a lot of places you want to go as an opposing fan.

Denver

A historic football town with the best stadium food I've ever encountered. Unfortunately we were just there LAST YEAR. If you missed it, I recommend going, if you're a travel crazed Jets fan like myself who already went, just pout.

Denver Travel Tip: There's legal weed there.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT83EXB5FkI/AAAAAAAAAI4/5UkxVyWGlL0/s400/weeddenver.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566228212494177858" />

Denver Travel Tip: The roasted pork nachos at the game are worth the price of admission alone.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT82PunREPI/AAAAAAAAAIo/bIyuuvYfAxM/s400/IMG_9864.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566227308291887346" />

Denver Travel Tip: Go to "Elways" in the 4 seasons downtown the morning of the game for Bloody Marys. It's not a bad walk from there to the stadium.

Baltimore and Washington

Neither city is known as "gentle", "safe" or "non-murderous". I don't really have much to say on these.

Oakland

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT83VumCEwI/AAAAAAAAAJA/acXTFIKpapo/s400/raidersneck.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566228510877553410" />

Widely viewed as the most hostile opposing stadium for fans to travel to (though I believe San Diego is the worst). It's also one of the crappier stadiums in the league, it's a baseball stadium that the baseball team moved out of. It's kinda like when a hermit crab finds something humorously misfitting to use as a shell.

Oakland Travel Tip: The epicenter of the Oakland insanity is the "Black Hole" which extends from section 100-110 and features the most fearsome, armor wearing, blood thirstest Raiders fans. If you're smart like me, get a ticket in section 201-210, row 1, and enjoy the safari.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 215px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT84YjDnqXI/AAAAAAAAAJI/rQprop-87nE/s400/Picture%2B2.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566229658831661426" />
(a photo i took of "the black hole" from section 207, row 1)

Oakland Travel Tip: .......

Oakland Survival tip: if you are confronted by Raiders fans, yell "hey is that a chargers fan?!" and point behind them and then run like hell as they are distracted.

Philadelphia

The east coast's answer to Oakland. Seeing Mike Vick play in person is barely not worth being stomped on by the fake Ronnie from Jersey shore in a parking lot in South Philly.

Philadelphia Travel Tip: Pat's King of Steaks is open 24 hrs.

Philadelphia Survival Tip: Think out your escape route. The stadium is in a mega parking lot with 2 other stadiums and most people come by public transportation (meaning they can be even drunker when they leave) so that means a lot of walking, which is bad. I suggest an alternate form of exit, such as a hot air balloon or inventing teleportation. Or just don't go.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT8004HQ5ZI/AAAAAAAAAIg/6eP3biiZSvI/s400/GirlEaglesFanPissing.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5566225747473917330" /> (the aforementioned eagles parking lot)

Philadelphia Survival Tip: Bring a sign with you that says "Hey, we hate the Giants too", it could get a mild guffaw out of your prospective assaulter.

Philadelphia Survival Tip: Duck!

Pyongyang

Just kidding.

London?

Two teams are playing in London next year, we just don't know which yet. They way the league treated the Jets this year (Hard Knocks, 1 sunday night football and 3 monday nights), I would be surprised if the Jets aren't seeing the other Big Ben on the road next year.

Location, location, location.

Don't cheap out on your seats, $50 could be the difference between getting on tv and getting a punch to the back of the head by a plumber. Location applies to where the actual stadium is located. The further a stadium is from the city center, the higher the odds you could get beat up at an away game. Tink about it mon, you're further from civilization, there's miles and miles of parking lot that will be a lot like the gauntlet from "American Gladiators" to get through if your team wins. Detroit is a perfect example, terrible rep as a city, the visiting team almost always wins but fans aren't really harassed because you walk right out the door to a bustling downtown.

See what cheap seats get you in San Diego.

The police are not your friends

On the road, cops will almost always succumb to the angry mobs of home fans. In their mind the best way to keep their lives easy is to assume the opposing fan is the problem and remove them for the good of all parties involved. Check out these assholes in San Diego , or these jerks in Indy .

Follow these tips and you should have a fun, delicious and tazer-free road trip this coming fall. Last night was probably the final game of Mark Brunell's NFL long and successful NFL career. He was drafted way back in 1993, a time when middle eastern wars were brief and cell phones were bigger than nate newton. Brunell went to the pro bowl 3 times, lead the Jaguars to 2 AFC title games and even won a Super Bowl ring as a Saint last year.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT4PRyihWbI/AAAAAAAAAH4/ybbYB-RnDcM/s320/Mark-Brunell-Auto.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5565902987775269298" />

Somewhere along the way, he must have made some horrific financial decisions because he filed for bankruptcy last summer, citing assets of $5.5 million and debts of over $25 million. Brunell has likely cashed his final NFL check and as he was on the way out the door to financial uncertainty, a 24 year old, rich quarterback wiped a booger on his and it became an internet sensation.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT4PmWNOTvI/AAAAAAAAAIA/MgAkiKO4lFw/s400/475613923utqmzS_fs.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5565903340947001074" />

(the warning signs were there)

I hope that this sad but necessary video can promote awareness for Mark Brunell and other athletes dealing with "Eddy Curry Syndrome". Eddy Curry Syndrome is where a professional athlete who is still under contract and being paid (or in Eddy's case, overpaid) yet is flat broke and the remainder of their contract is already financially spoken for. It's similar to AIDS in the sense that the mainstream is slow to identify it as the threat that it is, possibly because of its association with minorities and and people from poor upbringings. I'm sure most people thought Brunell would probably retire, have a car dealership and run for political office as a republican or dixiecrat, not be comically broke like Antoine Walker or Allen Iverson.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 263px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/TT4Qg0zW07I/AAAAAAAAAII/oTMeaq1MDdc/s400/executive_team_mark_brunell.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5565904345592419250" />
(1 in 4 middle aged white guys is at risk for Eddy Curry Syndrome)

NFL players spent a month out of the season looking ridiculous wearing pink to raise breast cancer awareness, a disease that can only affect 1 of their own (Bengals lineman Andre Smith). Why not have the players wear green for a month, to remind them to save their money, so they don't have their replacement wipe a booger on them in front of millions as they walk the green mile towards financial apocalypse.

<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" "I really don't know what to say about it, but that was (coach Tom Cable's) decision, and just move on." Russell completed 9-of-24 passes for 67 yards (2.8 YPA) before being yanked."

JaMarcus Russell has played so poorly this year that he's actually setting back black quarterbacks as a whole, he's like the Anti Jackie Robinson if you will. Right now there is a college head coach calling his freshman black qb in and saying "i love your footwork, how do you feel about playing free safety?". In the back of his mind he's thinking about what he's seen Russell do over the season. At least Russell has been benched by (alleged) domestic abuser and head coach Tom Cable. I'm sure he has no idea why either.

Larry Johnson:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwVwDXw-mLI/AAAAAAAAAGc/ThmskAwywA4/s400/1027_larry_johnson_bn_getty_02.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405850130949511346" />

“Hopefully, maybe someday, when I’m 33, 34, and I’ve still got a little bit of burn left, they’ll let me come back and get those yards.”

The yards LJ's alluding to are the 74 yards he's shy of Kansas City Chiefs career rushing record that is currently held by one of the all time good guys, Priest Holmes. Considering he was just expunged from the team, and fans felt strongly enough to put thousands of signatures on a petition for the team to deny Larry the shot at the record, you have to wonder what planet LJ is on.

“One little thing I say, and it’s going to be blown up to you guys and the perception of me grows as far as I’m the worst person who’s ever put on cleats.”

Hmm, only one little thing? Lets consult Wikipedia to see if LJ has a track record of trouble;

Legal Troubles

Johnson has been arrested four times since 2003 on various assault charges against women. In 2003, he was arrested for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor domestic battery for waving a gun at his then-girlfriend, during an argument at his home. The charges were dropped when Johnson agreed to participate in a domestic violence diversion program. In 2005, he was again arrested for assault when a woman accused Johnson of pushing her to the ground, but the case was dropped after the alleged victim failed to appear in court for three different hearings.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwVwKQ1fjaI/AAAAAAAAAGk/ShVp7LT-K2s/s400/2215111080_403a01eecf.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405850249348484514" />

His third arrest for assault came on February 24, 2008, after allegedly pushing a woman's head at a nightclub that night.[23] On October 10, 2008, Johnson was arrested for the fourth time and charged with one count of non-aggravated assault for allegedly spitting a drink in a woman's face at a Kansas City nightclub on October 11.[24] The woman involved, Ashley Stewart, has since filed a civil suit against Johnson, accusing him of negligence, assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.[25]

“It’s not anger issues. I think I have competitive issues,” he said. “Sometimes that gets the best of me, and I become overly competitive. Sometimes I lose myself in that and understanding that I don’t have to try to win every battle.

Are these battles hes talking about with women?

Since LJ made those statements he has changed teams and is now a member of the Cincinnati Bengals. If you remember the reason why LJ was finally booted from KC was that he went on some twitter tirades, including:

"He then uttered this under his breath, according to radio station KCSP and Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star: 'Get your faggot asses out of here.' [Sunday] Johnson got into a Twitter spat with a fan, he called the fan a 'fag,' according to Yahoo Sports, which monitored the exchange: think bout a clever diss then that wit ur fag pic. We figured we would fill you in as these stories........devolved.

Update No. 1: Bud Adams

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 287px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwLJz0fKn4I/AAAAAAAAAF0/ZGPTL4rrSoo/s400/bud-adams-and-titans-mascot-t-rac-2009-nfl-0qsR9m.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405104394897891202" />
(Titans owner Bud Adams, photographed with the Titans mascot, "T-Rac" that is apparently (and inexplicably) a raccoon. Jar Jar Binks, you are officially off the hook)

Disciplinarian NFL Commissioner Roger Gooddell lived up to his rep, and then some, by fining bird flipping Titans owner, Bud Adams, $250,000. The Commish showed he is fair with his strict fines, and isn't going to coddle owners while coming down heavy handed on players (see: Ochocinco $20,000 fine for fake bribery last week). The ironic part is that (as stated in the previous Adams post) Bud bought the team in 1960, and I don't know if it cost him $250,000 in total when he bought it.

Update No. 2: Allen Iverson

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 245px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwLKhgSFeWI/AAAAAAAAAF8/4IzkQUW4rBU/s400/allen-iverson-hairstyles.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405105179748301154" />

After a 3 game stint and a made up "personal mattter", the Iverson/Grizzlies marriage has been annulled.

"Because of personal matters that forced him to leave the team on November 7, Allen will step away from the game at this time, allowing him to focus on those matters," general manager Chris Wallace said in a statement. "As a result, we will be ending our contractual agreement with Allen, which will allow both parties to move forward. We wish Allen the best."

This actually ties in to update 3....

Update No. 3: The Knicks

Are the Knicks going to sign Iverson?

"We'll look into it," (Knicks GM Donnie) Walsh told the Daily News. "Right now, I'd say probably not but we'll see."

Sorry to bombard you with quotes from bad GMs (Ok, horrific GM's in Chris Wallace's case), but this move neeeeeeeeeds to happen to restore some luster to these once proud entities. Knicks Coach Mike D'Antoni is a proven coach with a track record of fan friendly, high scoring brand of basketball. Unfortunately for him and anyone who cares about basketball, he is saddled with a point guard shooting 22% on the season and a cadre of undersized, selfish shooting guards masquerading as point guards. Ok, well Iverson is an undersized, selfish shooting guard masquerading as a point guard, but hes the best to ever play that role. He's a truly talented player we all love and if there's any coach that can harness his unique skill set right now its D'Antoni.

Oh yea and also the Knicks desperately need something to excite their fan base as their record sits at 1-9 and Knicks fan indifference is at an all time high. Anger is an emotion, so during the Isiah era people still thought and talked about the Knicks, even if it was bad. These days, with a media savvy GM who can sweep his numerous mistakes under the rug and a nice guy coach, its like the Knicks don't exist.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 216px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwLNIlAVsiI/AAAAAAAAAGE/DwM6kn7XF7U/s400/0501_sprewell_launch_ex.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405108050054197794" />

Iverson needs this too, if he retires now, the countdown begins on him being broke and all of us feeling bad. No one wants him to end up Latrell Sprewell, a player everyone loved, the one time heart of the Knicks, who last year had his home foreclosed and his 70 ft yacht repossessed by federal marshalls and auctioned. Let's stave off this sad fate by a year or so, give Iverson the NBA's biggest stage to finish his career and give some poor Knicks fans a reason to care again.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 280px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwLNfi8L49I/AAAAAAAAAGM/L7rSZI0_ye4/s400/latrell-sprewell-gambling.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405108444636898258" />
........

HC of the NEP

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 212px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwHP6gqq-AI/AAAAAAAAAFM/Ld8QSTro-Fs/s400/bad-twitter-300x212.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404829631929579522" />

Was Bill Belichic wrong to go for it on 4th and 2 on his own 29 up 6 points at the end of the game yesterday? I don't know what those aforementioned tweeter's think they have given the game of football where they think they have the right to criticize a move by a 3 time NFL champion coach.

Belichick had an opportunity to go 2 yards and win a game against the top team in football and he took it. It doesn't matter if you give Peyton Manning 29 yards or 70, he's hotter than Flavor Flav's crack pipe right now, the correct move is to keep the ball out of his hands period.

That's just my opinion, and when it comes to split second football decisions, I will listen to Belicheat instead of those armchair tweeters. I feel dirty about siding with Belicheat so I will now post disparaging photos of Bill.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 294px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwHVfl2cEEI/AAAAAAAAAFc/jDqqNcBT7kI/s400/Bill%2BBelichick%E2%80%99s%2BGirlfriend%2BLinda%2BHolliday%2BPhotos%2B2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404835766534410306" />
"If the long pants and open toe sandals thing works for Jay Z, it will work for me too"

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 392px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwHVw_UhGqI/AAAAAAAAAFk/uiqvKm9OLgE/s400/billcamera.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404836065429232290" />
"And the Academy award for best footage of an opposing teams offensive walk through goes to......."

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 286px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwHWF1ds6xI/AAAAAAAAAFs/58QPdPd3HXI/s400/cheaties.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404836423560653586" />
"Breakfast of assholes"

grumpy old men?

86 year old Tennessee Titans owner gives 2 middle fingers, from a skybox that he was ironically sharing with, disciplinarian NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. I sat through the Dave Checketts era, the Scott Layden era, and made it through most of the Isiah era until I cracked.

What actually cracked me wasn't even basketball related, it was when the owners of the Knicks secretly put forth ads conjuring up firefighters carrying dead babies from ground zero, and little black kids doing poorly in school, in a successful effort to submarine the Jet's Manhattan stadium. I figured if their owner (James Dolan) was so evil that he transcended different sports, it was time to go.

I'm bringing this up because if you are in fact a Knicks fan, you have yet another major gripe, and I'm hoping to help give you a little push off the edge. Last night, Milwaukee Bucks rookie point guard Brandon Jennings dropped 55 pts on the Golden State Warriors. Why does this matter to NY? Two reasons;

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwAnJB_yhRI/AAAAAAAAAEk/byFSSZ5pVNU/s400/brandon-jennings1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404362588952888594" />

(Charles Barkely Voice) "Numba one", the Knicks passed on Brandon Jennings on draft night, even though they have one of the worst point guard situations in the league (sorry friends and immediate family members of Chris Duhon, its true). Knicks GM Donnie Walsh and Coach Mike D'Antoni felt it would be in the better interests of the team to draft power forward (and future journeyman)Jordan Hill, who so far has averaged 5 points, 1.8 rebounds and .2 asts a game.

(Charles Barkely Voice) "Numba two", The night before Jennings epic eruption (pause), the Warriors defeated the Knicks, dropping them to their worst start in the history of the franchise. Could there be any clearer a contrast of what could have been? Well atleast Jordan Hill had his best game against the Warriors, dropping 10 pts on them.

As if this whole 2009 draft debacle isn't rough enough on Knicks fans, 2010 is looking even more excruciating, because the Knicks (unprotected) first round pick is heading to Phoenix as part of the (wait for it).....2004 STEPHON MARBURY DEAL! This isn't even the first time the Knicks have done this, for EDDY CURRY the Knicks surrendered the number 2 overall pick in the 2006 draft and the 9th pick in the 2007, which Chicago gleefully used on Brooklyn's own Joakim Noah, who by the way, leads the league in rebounding this year.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 280px; height: 310px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwApj-E9eWI/AAAAAAAAAFE/SMamvy6Mr9k/s400/ISIAH-THOMAS-BLOG.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404365250780559714" />

Donnie Walsh and Mike D'antoni cant be blamed for the lost draft picks(past and future), but the Knicks owner can, he hung on to Isiah for a mind numbing 5 years. This is why you shouldn't stand for this anymore Knicks fans, this ineptitude without remorse or recourse (sorry Clyde Frazier typed that last part), a sadistic owner holds your hopes and dreams hostage. Your one and only celeb fan recused himself from any serious basketball conversation ever with his continual fawning over Isiah Thomas even after the Knicks had gone to hell and informed Knicks fans were holding protests.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 350px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwAn1zgdilI/AAAAAAAAAE0/PzFsR37Zgyc/s400/knicks_bag-734666.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404363358157507154" />

Seriously Knicks fans, like a woman in a long term abusive relationship, you need to muster the courage to leave, the Knicks ownership isn't changing. Knicks fans protested outside the NBA draft at Madison Square Garden in 2006 because they thought the organization was at its nadir, now 3 years later the Knicks just made a colossal misfire in the Hill over Jennings pick, they have the worst record in the organizations history (stretching back to 1946) and the high draft pick this putrid record is sure to bring, is already gone. At some point Knicks fans, you need to look in the mirror and quit the Knicks, or go outside MSG and light yourself on fire like the monk on the Rage Against The Machine album cover. Those are your 2 choices, choose wisely.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SwApSOgssWI/AAAAAAAAAE8/h1PuJRiiphQ/s400/rage_against_the_machine_rage_again.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404364945954222434" />

Bonus: Spike Lee discreditting himself as a Knicks fan and as a heterosexual

Mike Tyson Assualts Paparazzi

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/SvwuDReL6aI/AAAAAAAAAEU/_PaLQpD4jKI/s320/1258035338infphoto_1111785.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5403244286702250402" />

Apparently Mike Tyson assaulted a 50 year old paparazzi at the LAX airport yesterday. This hits home to my because last year I worked as a photographer in a couple of clubs in Vegas, taking photos of athletes (I met and shot Mike many a time). Look, paparazzi get a bad rap for many of the things in their collective past (killing Princess Diana, not killing Lindsay Lohan), but I'm not sure who to fault here. Instead of racking our brain (or google searching mike tyson+assault+paparazzi+lax) to figure out what happened, why don't I just use this as an excuse to show you a bunch of photos i took of athletes in Vegas. When they do actually spend a week in the gym, we are then subjected stories about it and are supposed to care. Case closed right?

Not necessarily, have you noticed this new, svelte "Eddy Curry" looks a lot similar to our old friend Plaxico Burress? Did they pull the old switcheroo on us? From what we understand Eddy is a super lazy video game connoussier. He's been sitting around not doing anything for weeks, like a kid with a great fake illness avoiding school. I'm sure he was getting worried about getting a call from his employers who expect him to show up for work sooner or later. He could have proactively reached out to Plaxico Burress (both played for NY teams at the same, they prob know each other) and worked out a deal to switch. Plax plays ball for the Knicks for the rest of the year and Eddy gets to sit in in Rikers and extend his summer vacation for another year, playing video games like Avon did when he was in jail.

I can't prove it but look at the photos below and decide for yourself.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 179px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/Svn9ezW0arI/AAAAAAAAABE/_vJ9MzgRIUU/s320/Picture+3.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5402627933631441586" />

(alleged before and after of Curry)

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 234px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_oLzqxqoQjNg/Svn913wvv-I/AAAAAAAAABM/mwOUTcHz8dM/s320/pburress.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5402628329950920674" />

News Flash: Grizzlies Owner Reads this Blog

Michael Heisley, the owner of the Grizzlies has just granted Allen Iverson a "Leave of absence to deal with personal matters".

That was a quick breakup. The game Jamarcus was referencing was a loss to the Chargers where he threw for 109 yards, an int, no touchdowns and a fumble.

Allen Iverson:

"I had no problems (with the hamstring). I had a problem with my butt sitting on that bench for so long," Iverson told the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

When a reporter suggested that the Grizzlies' bench needed Iverson's scoring punch, he disagreed.

"No. I'm not a bench player. I'm not a sixth man," Iverson added. 'Look at my resume and that'll show I'm not a sixth man. I don't think it has anything to do with me being selfish. It's just who I am. I don't want to change what gave me all the success that I've had since I've been in this league. I'm not a sixth man. And that's that." - (from the Memphis Commercial Appeal)

Iverson had missed the entire preseason and first 3 games with an injury and had not been with the team.

Roy Williams:

"I'm the No. 1 receiver," Williams said. Austin has set an NFL record with 482 yards in his first three starts, scoring on five of his 21 receptions during that span.

Compare that to Williams' statistics in 16 games since arriving from Detroit in a blockbuster deal: 33 catches, 447 yards and three touchdowns.

Considering those numbers, how could Williams possibly still see himself as the Cowboys' No. 1 receiver?

"He gets the ball thrown correctly his way," Williams said of Austin. "I'm stretching and falling and doing everything. Everybody [else] who's been here's balls are there. Our footballs [from Romo to Williams] are everywhere right now."

Williams has caught only 14 of 37 passes thrown his way this season. Only four receivers in the league who have been targeted at least 25 times have caught a lower percentage of passes aimed at them. - (from ESPN.com

Roy Williams was complaining AFTER THE COWBOYS WON THE GAME!

(Drumroll) And the "Non Self-Aware Asshole of the week" is........

Allen Iverson! Simply because he did the same thing in Detroit last year when a mid season trade pushed him into the 6th man role. This offseason as a free agent he knowingly signed with a team that used a high 1st round pick in 2007 on a point guard (Mike Conley), and a 2008 high first round pick on a 2 guard (OJ Mayo, who had 40 the game before Iverson returned). Iverson knowingly interjected himself into this situation, what did he expect, that they would stunt the growth of the futures of the franchise (calling the Grizzlies an actual NBA franchise is a stretch, but bear with me) to accommodate a 34 yr old on a 1 year deal? Are you surprised Iverson is on his 4th team in 4 years? Me neither.
